TECHINICAL SPECIFICATIONS

PRECISION

Every detail reflects our pursuit of perfection. The silver dial of the “Silver Snoopy Award” model proves it — featuring curved hands, angled hour markers, and the iconic embossed Snoopy at 9 o’clock. Each element is crafted with ultimate precision, a true symbol of our uncompromising commitment to quality.

DOT OVER NINETY

The legendary tachymeter scale is shown in white enamel on a blue ceramic [ZrO2] bezel ring, and includes a nod to Speedmaster history with a dot over ninety. The colour theme continues on the silver dial with blue PVD angle-shaped hour markers and hands.

SPECIAL TRIBUTES

The NAIAD LOCK keeps all caseback engravings in the correct, upright position, including tributes to Apollo 13 and the Silver Snoopy Award. 0MEGA received the prize seven months after the Speedmaster helped to rescue the Apollo 13 crew.

TRAGECTORY STRAP

The watch’s blue nylon fabric strap matches the other blue elements of the watch, and even features the trajectory of the Apollo 13 mission embossed on the lining. This includes their famous slingshot around the far side of the moon.

SNOOP IN ORBIT

On the caseback, Snoopy appears on the Service Module (CSM) as a magic hand. When the chronograph is activated, it travels towards the Moon, decorated on the sapphire crystal. An Earth disc also rotates once per minute, synchronized with the small seconds hand.

MAIN MATERIALS

STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is a classic in watchmaking: robust, with excellent finishing and great value for money. Known for its corrosion resistance and lasting shine after polishing, it is ideal for both everyday wear and demanding conditions.

CERAMIC

A lightweight and extremely scratch-resistant material. Chemically inert and hypoallergenic, ceramic retains its color and flawless finish over time, combining modern aesthetics with outstanding durability.

Sold Out

SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL

Synthetic sapphire crystal with Mohs hardness of 9, virtually scratch-proof. Treated with anti-reflective coating to ensure maximum clarity and visibility in all conditions.

The Legacy of the Comic Strip

For more than half a century, Snoopy has been the “watchdog” of NASA’s safety program. In addition to representing mission success, he has also been able to keep the atmosphere light in more serious situations. Since 1968, the Silver Snoopy Award has been given to individuals or companies who have made significant contributions to the “success of human space missions.”

Watch background

THE ADVANTAGES
OF THIS WATCH

Inside this watch are revolutionary components that ensure the highest standards of performance. From the Co-Axial escapement for lasting precision, to the silicon balance spring for superior anti-magnetism, OMEGA has conquered every challenge that matters.

Superior Precision

Master Chronometer Certification

Superior Precision

Twice as Precise as Any Officially Certified Chronometer

Our Master Chronometer watches are tested and certified twice. First, the movement is certified as a Chronometer under the ISO3159 standard by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC). Then, the fully cased watch undergoes eight Master Chronometer tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), requiring precision of 0/+5 seconds per day.

Antimagnetic

Master Chronometer Certification

Antimagnetic

Patented Antimagnetic Materials

Everyday objects such as mobile phones, magnetic clasps, laptops, MRI equipment, induction hobs or automatic doors expose watches to magnetic fields, which can disrupt their performance. To avoid permanent deviations of several minutes per day, we use antimagnetic materials like the silicon balance spring, capable of withstanding the strongest fields.

Water Resistance

Master Chronometer Certification

Water Resistance

To guarantee integrity at depth, every OMEGA watch – not just some – is fully immersed in water and pressure-tested up to the guaranteed water resistance. By testing every watch, we go far beyond the usual industry standards.

5-Year Warranty

5-Year Warranty

In our pursuit to raise industry standards and push the limits of quality, all OMEGA watches are delivered with a full 5-year warranty. This commitment reflects the confidence we have in our timepieces, offering customers extra peace of mind.

Less Servicing

Less Servicing

Expect fewer visits to the service center. The Co-Axial escapement was designed to reduce mechanical limitations inside the movement, requiring less lubrication and therefore less servicing. Compared to non-Co-Axial watches, service intervals are significantly longer.

Shock Resistance

Shock Resistance

During certification, OMEGA watches undergo extreme testing, including shocks to ensure reliability and accuracy even after heavy impacts. Each watch is designed to resist shocks equivalent to a 1-meter fall onto solid wood, generating forces up to 5000G for a 150g watch.
